There will be changes in public transport and municipal parking service on December 31 and January 1

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that on December 31 and January 1 there will be changes in the operation of Riga public transport, municipal parking lots and customer service centres. "Rīgas satiksme" also reminds that on December 31 and January 1 passengers will be allowed to use public transport free of charge (except for night transport and minibuses).

On December 31 and January 1 (buses, trolleybuses, trams) will run according to holiday schedules. Night transport will run in the nights of December 28/29, 29/30 and 30/31. On December 31 and January 1 minibuses will be running according to a shortened schedule. For more details about minibus traffic on the above days, please call 80001919.

For passengers to reach more comfortably the destinations where festive events will be held, there will be extra public transport in the night of December 31/January 1, which will run until 04:00 approximately (on some routes until 5:00). There will be additional trams on routes No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 11, additional buses on routes No. 3, 6T, 11, 12/23/26 (combined), 18, 24, 25, 37, 40, 50, 51 and 53, as well as extra trolleybuses on rotes No. 9, 14, 15, 17, 18, 22 and 27.

On December 31 and January 1 Riga municipal pay parking-lots will be free of charge, except for those located in Old Riga, where parking services will be for pay.

One customer service centre, at Spīķeru Street 1, will be open for passengers’ comfort on December 31 and January 1 from 10:00 till 16:00, other customer service centres will be closed.
